The Solar Series Runway Guard Lights will be installed at a civil aerodrome in England to support vehicle and aircraft operations carried out by Airbus UK. Working with British partner Systems Interface Ltd., the customer required a low cost, highly reliable 24/7 runway guard light solution that would increase safety at a previously unmarked intersection of the airfield. After successful installations and testing with Southampton airport, the solar runway guard light was selected for night and day operations, eliminating the need to install an additional electrical circuit that would require constant power.
