For Immediate Release

Victoria BC, Canada. 9 March, 2012 --//

Aviation Renewables has delivered multiple Solar Series MAPPS solar power systems to power obstruction lighting on transmission line towers in Texas.  The MAPPS systems will meet FAA autonomy requirements and power the double L-810 obstruction fixtures from dusk to dawn.  The Solar Series MAPPS solar power systems are stand-alone photovoltaic power systems, designed to power low and medium intensity FAA LED obstruction lights.  Applications include tower obstruction lighting for wind farms, telecommunication towers, solar MET towers and power transmission towers.

The Solar Series MAPPS is designed to meet the specifications of the 2008 FAA bulletin on Solar Power Obstruction Lighting.  Due to the variation of available solar power, every system is custom sized to ensure optimum performance and autonomy for the installation location.  For more information on the Solar Series MAPPS or any of the Solar Series line of airport lighting products, please visit www.aviationrenewables.com
