The Solar Portable Airfield Lighting System (PALS) is a convenient, fully transportable and autonomous lighting system that is designed to support civil, defense and humanitarian missions.  A 5000' runway can be set up in minutes and be sustained indefinitely.  The maintenance free, self contained lights provide either visible or infrared lighting and support both fixed wing and rotary operations.  With the encrypted, wireless 2.4 GHz mesh network, the entire system can be controlled from the tower, ground or approaching aircraft.
