Victoria BC, Canada. 14 September, 2010 --/ Aviation Renewables and its partner P Wedge Windsocks have been awarded two separate contracts for the supply and delivery of its Solar Series Permanent LED Wind Cones to the Spanish ARMY. In addition to the wind cones, the AV70 Series solar LED obstruction light, spare windsocks and frangible anchor bolt kits will be provided to support
the ARMY’s helicopter operations for both visible and NVG compatible operations. Responding to a requirement for high quality, rugged wind cone design that has been proven to be capable of supporting defense operations in all climates, the ARMY chose the Solar Series aluminum custom designed 10’ wind cone with a patented swivel, internally lighted LED luminaire and solar power operating system. Fully rust resistant and self-contained with no external wiring or conduit requirements, the Solar Series Permanent LED Wind Cone offers an external on/off switch with dusk till dawn or on demand operating profiles, LED variable intensity, frangible anchor bolts, solar LED obstruction and high quality T4 nylon fabric. In addition to this delivery Aviation Renewables and P Wedge Windsocks have been awarded another Solar Series Wind Cone to support tactical operations in the Middle East along with one of the standard P Wedge Windsocks for operations in Northern Canada.
