Victoria BC, Canada. 18 October 2011 –-//

Avlite Systems has recently delivered a system of solar taxiway lights to Bergen Airport, Norway.  After a successful installation of the AV70 taxiway lighting system by INTERTEC  A/S of Denmark, an additional solar taxiway lighting system has been ordered for temporary deployment within the airfield due to construction works.  With Bergen Airport located north of 60 degrees latitude, a complete solar profile was necessary to prove reliable performance in the demanding solar and climatic conditions.  In a first for this product, the AV70 lights were used 24/7 due to the rapidly changing weather conditions at the airport.  The operation of the solar LED taxiway lights demonstrates the incredible versatility of the AV70, as it continues to perform reliably in low sunlight regions.  The AV70 is a self-contained solar LED aviation light that is designed to suit a range of aviation applications, including taxiway, obstruction and barricade lighting. Aviation Renewables, a consultant for Avlite Systems, continues to work closely with global aviation operators and partners of both organizations to expand the adoption of solar and renewable energy technologies at airports.  For more information on Avlite solar airfield lighting and supporting solutions, please visit www.avlite.com or www.aviationrenewables.com
