Victoria BC, Canada. 19 January, 2011 --/ Working with ARC Aviation Renewables Corp., Avlite Systems and Meiwa Jisho Jyutaku Ryuutsuu Inc. of Japan will deliver multiple solar powered LED portable runway lighting systems for the Japanese Air Self Defense Force (JASDF). Solar powered runway edge lights, threshold lights and battery chargers will be provided with customized momentary diagnostic controls and external charge ports. Following the Aviation Act of Japan, emergency runway lighting must be available in the event of a power failure. Meiwa jisho Jyutaku Ryuutsuu Inc., a leading partner of Avlite Systems and Aviation Renewables, works closely with the JASDF as a supplier of solar powered LED airfield lighting and power solutions. Meiwa required a custom, low cost solution to meet the operating, performance and safety solutions of JASDF airfields.
