Avlite Systems will deliver multiple solar powered LED helipad lighting systems with the Solar Series LED Helipad Wind Cones for operations throughout Afghanistan. A total of 252 AV70 and AV72 Series taxiway, helipad edge and obstruction lights along with Avlite’s encrypted hand held RF Controllers and frangible stake mounts are to be installed with 7 Solar Series LED Helipad Wind Cones outfitted with the AV72-RF obstruction light . Working with Aviation Renewables and P Wedge Windsocks, Avlite’s solutions will support helicopter operations in both visible and NVG mode. Existing airfield lighting systems already operating with the AV70 and AV72-RF helipad lighting systems will be able to expand operations at various locations while increasing safety where infrastructure, fuel or electrical power is not available. The Avlite solar helipad lighting systems will support both NATO International Security Assistance Forces and US Forces operating throughout Afghanistan.
