Avlite Systems and its consulting partner Aviation Renewables have been awarded additional orders to support solar LED obstruction lighting solutions for US Department of Defense (DOD) Operations throughout the world. Working with a support Contractor, the DOD and Avlite Systems, Aviation Renewables helped provide custom solar powered LED obstruction lighting solutions in both infrared and visible format for dusk till dawn and on demand lighting requirements. With the application being global, various requirements needed attention including the ability to control the light from the base of the portable towers; providing an autonomy that would sustain dusk till dawn or on demand locations at both high and low latitudes; providing infrared or visible LED 
lighting; equiping the units with detached command and control system; and providing all units with a replaceable battery for easy maintenance and replacement. The custom units were based on the AV60 and AV125 models operating from either solar or DC power. Avlite Systems and Aviation Renewables continue to deliver off grid solar powered aviation lighting solutions for operations worldwide.
