Airfield Solar Power

Frangible, self contained solar power unit for airfield power requirements

The Nova standalone, self contained SPU (Solar Power Unit) uses industry leading components and precise German engineering to produce optimal power output and greatest life cycle for the stand alone system. The solar power system consists of solar modules, storage batteries and a highly efficient charge controller manufactured using state-of-the-art technology with 50,000 + MTBF hours.

Features include instrumentation for measuring voltage and current as well as LED based lights and an LCD display for monitoring system performance. Battery technology features sealed Gel batteries which offer superior performance in adverse environments, the batteries contain no liquid and can thus be mounted in any direction, in the event of the battery case being damaged the battery will continue to perform.  Battery banks are typically designed for a minimum of 7 days system autonomy to ensure the performance of the system during heavy cloud coverage periods. Enclosures are supplied with the system and are available as per customer requirements to NEMA ratings.

Each system is designed to suit individual customer requirements, therefore each system is available in a variety of input and output voltages depending on the equipment that requires power.
